shark cage Diving - 1

On arrival at Gaans Baai, you will enjoy a lite breakfast prepared by the Operator. This is followed by a Safety briefing session about your dive. After the briefing session has been sorted out, you will embark on a4 – 5 mile passage to Dyer Island renowned for its Great White Activity. Once the anchorage is secured, attracting the sharks by a method called chumming begins – this means the sharks are not actually fed but lured toward the boat so as to make your cage diving experienced the most memorable one ever.

Once the Sharks arrive, you will have the opportunity of viewing them from the boat or for the more adventurous, climb into the Cage to view them in their natural habitat. No experience is required when entering the cage. The cage is securely tied and floats next to the boat and sharks cannot enter the cage as it’s made of a very strong galvanized metal. All diving equipment & wet suits are supplied by the operator. Should visibility be bad and the water too rough, then viewing the sharks from the boat is still an unforgettable experience.
